In this lesson you will learn how to add new users to your
accounts and selecting the right user role
for every team member by selecting the right role
for every person in your team you can govern the
Privileges that every user has and enable them to
use the platform features that are most relevant
to their role our platform offers two editors
the content studio and the content Builder
in the content Studio you can create and
manage content with full design complexity
using all of our features while in the content
Builder you can create and edit content based
on Foleon templates or branded templates
that your team created in the content Studio
when adding someone new to the platform you
can add them as standard user or premium user
premium roles provide access to both the content
Builder and the content Studio while standard
roles provide access to the content Builder only
for the premium users we have two different roles
the admin and the designer the admin is someone
who has complete access to the platform so both
the content Studio any content Builder and
they have full rights they can do everything
within Foleon they can access all created content
and have control over account related settings
the admin role is the perfect role for your
team leader the designer also has access to
both the studio and the content Builder and
they can also access all created content they
can manage the media assets templates themes and
fonts they can also create new docs and projects
the difference with the admin is that the designer
doesn't have access to account related settings
think about managing user seeds the designer also
can't delete projects or docs it's a perfect role
for your designer or your brand manager then
the standard users there are three different
roles for standard users which is publisher
editor and reviewer none of them has access
to the content Studio they can all just access
the content Builder the publisher within the
Builder this is the role with the most rights they
can edit docs publish and delete docs and assets
they cannot change account related settings or
control availability of templates and assets
across workspaces it's a great role for
the editor-in-chief or the project manager
the editor they can edit docs for the account
publish or delete any docs Pages or media assets
this is a great role for the collaborators in
your team and lastly the reviewer role this
role can't edit any docs they can only review
docs that have the review mode toggled on
to add a new user you open the
user step in your dashboard
this gives you an overview of all users and
it allows you to edit delete or add new users
to add a new user you can click the invite new
user button add their name and email address
and select the right role if your account uses
different workspaces you can also select workspace
adding the user to the main workspace
gives them access to all workspaces
once you're done your new team member will
receive an email to activate their accounts
if you want to add someone to your account but
you're not an admin you can ask your admin to
do it for you and if your account is out of
seats you can contact your customer success
manager and we can add additional seats to your
plan
