A Sales team needs good content, and they need it
yesterday! Foleon empowers your teams to create
highly effective content themselves and can be
a core format to fuel multiple strategies! At
Foleon, the sales team has discovered ways to use
the platform to get more insights in their leads
to close more deals. They use Foleon to create
two types of content. Although, this hasn’t always
been the case. Previously, good ol’ PDFs were the
solution. This older solution caused a black hole
in our lead qualifications and sales cycles as we
could only measure how many documents were sent
out, but had no idea WHO saw it, WHAT they looked
at, and HOW long they engaged with our content.
With virtually zero insights, we just had to have
faith. Now we do have these insights! Giving us
the ability to focus our efforts on leads that
show an interest. And prepare calls to focus
on the areas of content the viewers expressed an
interest in. Our Account Executives and Business
Developers create two types of content. Bespoke
showcase + Buyers Hub. Let’s see how the sales
team at Foleon uses the Foleon platform! This will
allow you to get inspired templates to empower you
and your team to stay on brand and take less
time to publish. Business Developers need to
engage prospects with interactive, bespoke content
so that they stand out from the crowd. Having a
template to work from allows the BD to update
content pieces that will accurately represent
the business and industry of their prospect,
helping them to impress and connect faster!
Account Executives will take the conversation
to the next stage and with that requires more
content. With a template like a Buyers Hub,
AE’s can tailor the content of specific pages
based on the needs and expectations gathered
from previous conversations. This bespoke,
living digital document will allow the
momentum of the conversation to continue
giving the customer a consistent place to find
all up to date information they need. Now,
let’s go over what’s involved so that you
know how to get your sales department set up.
This is how we have set up our sales team
within Foleon. First, the Sales team has
their own workspace. This means, within
our Business Account, they have their own
sub-account which we call Teams. This allows each
department to have their own environments to work,
giving options to collaborate where needed
but control over independent content.
Next each team member has a Publisher role
and a project folder with their name where
they can create, publish and manage their own
showcases or buyer hubs. When they create a Doc,
they simply put it together by starting from a
template. And personalizing it by adjusting some
text and dragging and dropping the right content
blocks, and updating images or videos as needed.
Lastly, they can add a gate to track who accesses
the Foleon Doc. To know specifically who saw what,
when and for how long. This can be done through
an integration with your CRM. We have native
integrations with HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce
Pardot, Eloqua or integrate anything using Zapier.
Depending on the size and structure of your
organization, you may want to collaborate
with others within your organization
like a Content Marketeer, Content Ops,
or Branding and Communications. To help
drive sales, BDs and AEs can share other
kinds of content created by the marketing
department rather than by the sales people.
Think: Articles, White Papers, Feature or product
pages and more! If you’re interested in this but
need some more buy in from your team, share
this video with your coworkers! Foleon can
be a core format to fuel multiple business
strategies and collaborate within your team.
